Tomi Inn

The excellent Tomi Portorož inn met the demanding criteria of the national assessment in 2011 and became part of the eminent group operating under the Gostilna Slovenija brand.

This represents quality, authentic Slovenian cuisine and guarantees a top standard. The dishes of local and regional origin are based on numerous seafood and meat specialities. We are especially known for oven-baked fish, scallops, prawns on rocket, refošk fuži with truffles and crab, stuffed gnocchi in scampi sauce, octopus, and old and already forgotten dishes such as polenta with bakalar (salt cod) served warm. This is only a few of the dishes that came about from a wish to bring together local and traditional cuisine, prepared in a modern way and with a touch of the Adriatic Sea.

In preparing food we use only the best ingredients, such as locally grown vegetables, 4 kinds of olive oil (mavrino, istrska belica, leccino, dalmatinsko), fleur de sel from the Sečovlje salt pans and excellent Slovenian wines from the immediate surroundings. The kitchen adapts to the seasons and to the fresh produce of the Adriatic Sea and the Istrian hinterland.
