The collection of the Gallery of Self-Taught Artists Trebnje is composed of works by creative and deeply feeling individuals who through art express their own vision. Without art education, with strong will and the use of talent, they explore and reshape our perception of the world, and thus with original yet universally understandable images they address a wider public. More than 1000 works by artists from all over the world draw on the world treasury of ideas, tradition and mythology. Part of the collection is presented in the permanent exhibition; with temporary exhibitions and the International Camp of Self-Taught Artists (first organised in 1968) we explore the creativity of already recognised as well as younger, not yet established authors. With workshops, lectures, round tables and other activities we try to bring art closer to every individual.
Trebnje Gallery of Naïve Artists for the last decade it has operated within the public institution of the Centre for Education and Culture Trebnje (CIK Trebnje), founded by the municipalities of Mirna, Mokronog-Trebelno, Šentrupert and Trebnje, while its beginnings reach back to 1971. The gallery organises solo and group exhibitions of domestic and foreign authors. Through international networking it also promotes the authors and naive art beyond the borders of the homeland.

Opening hours:
The winter opening times of the gallery, lasting from 1. 10. to 30. 4.:
- Sunday and Monday closed,
- Tuesday to Friday from 10 to 12 and from 14 to 18,
- Saturday from 14 to 18.
The summer opening times of the gallery, lasting from 1. 5. to 30. 9.:
- Sunday and Monday closed,
- Tuesday to Friday from 10 to 12 and from 14 to 19,
- Saturday from 14 to 19.
