Mangart – Cerkno – Kranj

In the centre of Lesce we turn towards Hraše. At the end of Hraše the road for Studenčice branches off to the left, while we continue through the narrows towards Rodine. We continue right in the direction of Žirovnica. After crossing the railway line we continue straight on through Moste and further towards Jesenice. At the roundabout we turn left and continue beside the railway, which we also cross. We continue straight on past the railway station. At the junction we turn left and soon again left across the bridge. When we cross the Sava, we turn right and at the first junction left across a narrower bridge we again cross the SAva Dolinka. We come to the main road Jesenice – Rateče, where we turn left. Beside the road there is a sign for cycle route 910200. To Mojstrana it runs along the main road. We follow the markings of the cycle route through Mojstrana and Belca. When the main road approaches the Sava, on the left the real cycle path begins, which runs along the route of the former railway line. Through Kranjska Gora and Rateče we follow the markings of the cycle route. When we cross the border crossing, we continue towards Tarvisio.
The main road descends past the railway station, through the gallery, across the bridge and at the crossroads turns right. There we go straight on and follow the signs for Bovec (SLO) Past Lake Rabelj and through a few shorter, unlit tunnels we climb to the Predel pass. Soon after crossing the state border we turn left onto the asphalt road towards Mangart. After 11 km of moderate climbing we arrive at the highest point of the route. At the top there is a beautiful view of the Mangart lakes. We can also visit the hut on the Mangart saddle.

We descend to the main road and on to Bovec. Along the main road we continue to Kobarid, where at the first junction we turn left. We descend to the Soča, cross the famous Napoleon bridge and continue right towards Tolmin. At the traffic-light junction in Tolmin we turn left towards Most na Soči. There we turn left and along the main road beside the Idrijca we continue to Straža. We continue left in the direction of Cerkno. there follows the climb to Kladje and the descent to Trebija. Along the main road we continue to Škofja Loka. Below the castle we go from the main road straight on through the old town core and further in the direction of Selca. Soon at the junction near the Poden sports hall we turn right in the direction of Crngrob. Soon we come to the turning for Sveti Duh, where we turn right. In Sveti Duh we turn left onto the main road towards Kranj. We cross the viaduct, and then at the traffic-light junction we turn left. When the priority road turns right, we go left across the Kokra and right through the old part of Kranj. We continue past the Globus to the main bs station, where we turn left. When the road begins to descend, we turn right onto an asphalted footpath. Beside the main road we continue straight on across two traffic-light junctions. From Naklo onwards we go along the main road through Bistrica, Podbrezje and Posavec all the way to the end of Dobro Polje. Before the motorway we turn left. At the junction in Mošnje we turn right, and in Podvin left onto the asphalted road beside the main road. By way of Radovljica we return to Lesce.
