From the Zreče Spa the route takes you to the lower industrial zone, where a black coal mine was once located. From there the road rises somewhat towards the little village of Gračič and from there to the very summit of Brinjeva gora, where the first traces of settlement reach some 4000 years back into history, all the way to the Neolithic. Interesting is the fact that the settlement of Brinjeva gora passed from the Bronze Age into the Iron Age by way of the Celts and the Romans and right on to an Old Slovenian settlement, while in the Middle Ages Freudenberg Castle flourished here. Today the church of the Mother of God and the church of St Agnes receive you under their wing. Among numerous meadows and fields the route brings you to Gorenje nad Zrečami, where you can see the church of St Kunigunde from 1391, which is supposed to have been built by the Counts of Celje. And from there, by way of Planina and Padeški vrh to Rogla.
