Forest cottage Mrzli studenec is located amidst the lush forests on the beautiful high plateau of Pokljuka – at Mrzli studenec. The cottage has three comfortable apartments which offer guests wonderful views over the Julian Alps and Triglav.

An apartment for 5 persons is located on the ground floor, two apartments for two persons on the first floor. The cottage is heated with central heating and the apartments are equipped with a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom.

In addition to the complete tranquility which is surrounding the forest cottage, the area also offers many hiking and biking trails, two ski slopes, great terrains for ski touring, lovely mountain huts and a cross-country skiing and biathlon center. The landscape of Pokljuka is covered in beautiful bogs and has several lovely mountain pastures with alpine cottages, where you can taste delicious and authentic food and drink fresh milk.

Hike through the lush green woods and enjoy the magnificent forest trees and the soothing silence. In the summer raspberry and blueberry bushes will surprise you along your way and in autumn you will be able to pick several edible mushrooms.

Spend a couple of days on the beautiful high plateau Pokljuka in the heart of the Triglav National Park – 1200 m above sea level with an average snow cover of 1.5 m and an average winter temperature of -5°C.

Experience beautiful winter mornings, observe the sparkling snow crystals and be the first to make new trails in the fresh snow. For a midday rest, visit one of the lovely alpine cottages.

The soothing silence around you will only be interrupted here and there by the sounds of the pine forests, which are stretching itself under the endless starry sky and the white peaks of the Julian Alps.
