The valley of Kamniška Bistrica in the heart of the Kamniške Alpe mountains is bordered by Krvavec on one side and by Velika planina on the other. It is dotted by shepherds' huts and vacation lodges. Between spring and winter, you can take picturesque walks from one shepherds' village to the other. Winter, on the other hand, offers excellent skiing for the whole family, as the not very steep slopes require little skiing expertise. Velika planina is also popular among ski tourers.
