Rabič apartments****, Bohinj
You will see our advertising sign before the bridge in Stara Fužina, pointing in the direction of Mount Triglav. Follow the signs and the Mostnica river. Bohinj Lake is only 400 km away from Munich and Vienna, 90 km from Ljubljana and 60 km from Ljubljana airport at Brnik. If you travel by train, it is best to get off at the Lesce/Bled railway station and take a bus to Bohinj. This year, there is also a car-train from Most na Soči and Podbrdo to Bohinjska Bistrica.
The Rabič apartments encompass seven suites (ranging from 32 to 45 square metres in size), which feature two, three, four or six beds respectively and a kitchen, bathroom and toilet.
The 45-seat restaurant is well known for its privacy, comfort, and above all its hospitality and excellent service. As our guests you can try the substantial Bohinj breakfast featuring delicacies of local cuisine (Kranjska sausage in pork mash). In the bar, you can relax and choose with a wide array of drinks, including Gösser beer on draught.
And in summer, you can go for a picnic under a kozolec, a typical Slovene hayrack.
After a day spent in the country or when you return tired from skiing on Vogel or Kobla, you can take a break in the Finnish sauna and restore you strength. It is only 150 metres to the famous Devil’s Bridge and the Mostnica ravine.
You can explore the wonders of the Slovene countryside on your own or join an organised tour round the surrounding area. We will take you to the Triglav National Park and show you the Seven Triglav Lakes, the Triglav mountain and the rest of the Julian Alps. During the trip, you will be able to photograph the amazing world of animals and plants. You are invited to join a photo-safari that in May will provide you with shots of the wild grouse, and in autumn, with the chance take photographs of the chamois in their rutting season.
Besides fly fishing in the running waters in Bohinj, you can also fish in the Bohinj lake. There is a great interest in the char, for which the fishermen have to use a special fishing technique. Anyone looking for adventure can rent a boat.
The owner of the Rabič Pension is always prepared to introduce the mentioned fishing technique. You can also buy fishing permits in the pension. Our guests can also indulge in our additional offer, which comprises the preparation of the caught fish in the house restaurant.
