BY CAR
From Ljubljana: you take a highway in direction to Kranj, you pass Radovljica and in the roundabout take the exit LESCE–BLED–BOHINJ. After app. 20 km you will arrive to the Bohinj valley. In the town Bohinjska Bistrica you turn right in the main crossroads towards Lake Bohinj and Ribčev laz village. When you arrive to Ribčev laz turn left at the hotel Kristal. Keep right, Cottage Suha is the second building to your right.
BY BUS
From Ljubljana: there are direct buses to Bohinj valley from Ljubljana almost every hour (except night hours and weekends); it is a regular bus connection Ljubljana–Radovljica–Bled–Bohinj. Bohinj has various bus stops and there is one right next to the Cottage Suha, in front of hotel Kristal (bus stop “Ribčev Laz” is one stop before stop “Bohinj Lake”!). Exit at the bus stop Ribcev laz and cross the street. Walk pass hotel Kristal and keep right. Cottage Suha is the second building to your right.
From Ljubljana airport: the best option is going to Ljubljana or Kranj first and then take a bus or train to the Bohinj valley.
BY TRAIN
From Ljubljana: take a train from the main railway station in Ljubljana direction Jesenice. At Jesenice international station you change the train and take off in Bohinjska Bistrica train station, which is aprox. 6 km from the Cottage Suha. There is a bus stop in the centre of Bohinjska Bistrica − 5 minute walk from the train station. Buses leave from there almost every hour. You take a bus to Cottage Suha (bus stop "Ribcev Laz"). It stops next to the Cottage Suha, in front of hotel Kristal (bus stop “Ribčev Laz” is one stop before stop “Bohinj Lake”!). Exit at the bus stop Ribcev laz and cross the street. Walk pass hotel Kristal and keep right. Cottage Suha is the second building to your right.
From Jesenice and Austria: if you reach Slovenia from the North, you can take a train at the international railway station Jesenice. There are quite frequent trains going to Bohinj valley. You take off in Bohinjska Bistrica train station. From there you walk 5 minutes to the bus stop in Bohinjska Bistrica and take a bus to "Ribcev laz" bus stop next to the Cottage Suha. Buses leave almost every hour except during the night.
If you arrive with a direct train from the South (Austria) via Jesenice, you can also take off at LESCE−BLED international train station and take a bus directly from the train station. It is regular bus connection Ljubljana−Kranj−Lesce–Bled–Bohinj valley. You take a bus to Cottage Suha (bus stop "Ribcev Laz"). It stops next to the Cottage Suha, in front of hotel Kristal (bus stop “Ribčev Laz” is one stop before stop “Bohinj Lake”!). Exit at the bus stop Ribcev laz and cross the street. Walk pass hotel Kristal and keep right. Cottage Suha is the second building to your right.
From Nova Gorica and Italy: after crossing the border with Italy, go to Nova Gorica train station and take a connection Nova Gorica–Most na Soci–Bohinjska Bistrica–Jesenice. Take off at train station Bohinjska Bistrica. There are regular buses to Ribcev Laz from the centre of Bohinjska Bistrica town (a 5 minute walk from the train station).
