The recreation and tourism center Golte nad Mozirjem, from where you can enjoy an excellent view of the Savinja valley, the Savinja Alps and the eastern Karavanke mountains, can be accessed by car via the local road leading to the lower station of the cable car in the village of Žekovec. The lift, which can service 56 people simultaneously, will bring you to the Medvedjek highlands in eight minutes. There, a hotel and restaurant stand at the altitude of 1410 meters above sea level. From the hotel, ski tows and chair lifts head up well-prepared ski slopes (which can be covered with artificial snow if necessary), where beginners, recreational skiers and fans of ski touring can truly enjoy themselves. The snowy slopes of Golte are also the site of several competition trails and organized tournaments .
