Description of path
You can begin cycling anywhere in the Bled – Radovljica region. Make your way to Begunje. Pass the primary school there and go to the triangular field below Castle Kamen. Stay to the right side of the field and you'll reach a difficult macadamized ascent. Luckily, it is short and one of only two longer ascents along the way. As soon as the main road reaches macadam, turn onto the macadam. After a short, easy ascent you'll reach an intersection with several forest roads. Prepare for an extremely pleasant, quick but not too steep descent down a forest road. Always keep to the left or to the worn path. The route is of course not marked, but it's impossible to get lost. After an incredible descent through the forest, you'll reach a badly maintained road where you should turn left. Though the road quickly becomes narrower and steeper, keep following it and you'll reach the valley of the Peračica stream. Follow the constantly descending macadam road through the valley. Cross the stream and several meadows. Eventually, you'll reach a second longer ascent to the former dump at Črnivec. Follow the asphalt road to the right and you'll reach macadam again after a few hundred meters. After another few hundred meters, leave the macadam and turn left for a short descent through the forest to the village Spodnji Otok. At the beginning of the village, turn around the first house and ascend to the beautiful church of St. John the Baptist. From there, follow the forest road west. Cross a second road and the slightly faded but adequate road will eventually lead you through the forest to Dvorska vas, from where you can return to wherever your starting point was.
Mountain bike and other equipment.
A short, cross-country route with a few ascents and extremely beautiful descents through the lonely forests beneath Dobrča. It is suitable for cycling in any season, especially as a short quick route after a long day at work or as a beginner's route for improving your constitution.
