The Ormož municipality is the center of Prlekija. It consists of the ridges of Slovenske gorice and the flat lands by the Drava river. Criss-crossed by rivers, these hills make up the picturesque image of the land. With many archeological discoveries, Ormož is one of the country's largest medieval and prehistoric archeological sites.
