Nazarje

Nazarje lies in the upper Savinja valley, where the subalpine landscape meets the flat lands of Dreta and its tributaries. The Vrbovec castle and the Franciscan monastery at Nazarje have left a special mark on the life of the people in the valley. Because of its location, the town isa popular tourist destination. Besides historical sights and cultural events, there are many other possibilities: mountaineering, hiking, hunting, fishing, ski running, horseback riding and mountain cycling.The Veniše tourist center with a hotel is nearby.
