The hilly Lukovica municipality covers the Radomlja river basin, from Prevoje pri Šentvidu all the way to Trojane. It is crossed by the Ljubljana – Maribor freeway, which was built exactly where the Roman Emona – Celeia road once ran. For several centuries, postal deliveries between Ljubljana and Graz went through this area.
