The Ljubno municipality lies at the beginning of the narrow gorge where the Savinja river makes its way out of the heart of the mountains. Because of its location, it is a starting point for several mountain trails, and plenty of fun trips around the area are available. Ljubno's most impressive sights include Tirske Peči, the 100-meter limestone cliffs at Golte, and the Smrekovec ridge, a remnant of Miocene volcanism. The main ethnographic event is Flosarski bal. Cycling, swimming in the river, fishing, rafting, kayaking, paragliding over the valley, skiing and other sports provide countless opportunities for recreation.
