Green Village Ruševec – lodges and apartments - presentation

The Green Village Ruševec is a unique example of ecological, sustainable and green tourism in Slovenia. On Mariborsko Pohorje, the Slovenian largest ski centre, just 2 kilometres from the upper station of the cable car Pohorska vzpenjača lies a boutique fairy village Ruševec with five eco lodges made out of spruce timber and covered with green roofs. A unique experience of living in Natural Environment!

Nearby stands the Villa Ruševec with six stylish apartments. Ten stations of the Permaculture Circle Ruševec with Herb Garden, Traditional Slovenian Apiary, Constructed Wetland, Natural Bio Pond, Raised Garden Beds and others are winding around all tourist units. Their purpose is to familiarize guests with laws of nature, to present them the importance of maintaining nature and to make them aware of the impacts of nature and its beauty on themselves.

The spa centre includes a hot tub and a sauna.

Natural eco lodge is a healthy house, exclusively made of natural ecological materials, such as wood and wool. Wooden walls and sheep wool create very good conditions for living in the natural environment, since the indoor air is ventilated two times a day through the walls without draught.
