The Apače municipality covers the Apače plain by the Mura river. The town itself boasts a beautiful church of St. Mary's Ascension in the middle of the central square. One of the most amazing Gothic stone rosettas in Slovenia is built into the church's western facade. Another sight worthy of attention is the Meinlov grad castle in Črnci. Rebuilt several times, the building is now a beautiful example of classical architecture with a built-in Roman medallion and a stone Renaissance fireplace inside.
