Muta

The Muta municipality lies between the Drava river, the edges of the hilly regions of Golica and Kobansko and the Slovenian-Austrian border. Natural circumstances and the geographical location have provided the area with plenty of water sources.The city is famous for the Romanesque rotunda of St. John the Baptist, an architectural monument made unique by its shape. The modern ecological chapel of St. Francis of Assisi is also worthy of your attention. Nearby there is the 23-meter Sedelnik waterfall, the highest waterfall in the Kozjak area, and the landscape around Sv. Jernej is covered by some of the largest lime trees in Slovenia.
