The Kidričevo municipality covers the central part of the Drava plain. It is rich with both natural and cultural landmarks. Most of the cultural historical buildings are connected to religious architecture and art. Many different traditional events are held in the area, including the traditional Fašenk in Cirkovce, May Day, Pentecost morning, lovrenčevo žegnanje and numerous holidays between St. Nicholas's Day and the Carnival season. Other well-known events include football competitions at Apače and a treasure hunt at the Kidričevo baths.
