Description of path
From Žetale, cycle toward Rogatec. There, turn left toward Log in front of the church of St. Sebastian, built in 1414. This is the most difficult part of the route. Ascend up the forest road to the Tisovec hunting lodge. During the ascent, you can also stop at a 200-year-old beech tree called Debela bukev (»the thick beech«) which is also the final stop of the local nature trail (you may have seen a sign about it in front of the school). The next few kilometers of the forest road are fairly relaxing and interesting, as you will have plenty of time to enjoy the peace, fresh air, and beauty of unspoiled nature. When you finally reach the lodge, refresh yourself at the spring and, if you want, get something to eat. Those of you who enjoy picking mushrooms should do a little exploring, as there are many edible mushrooms to be found in the area. Continue toward Varvasele and finish the route by passing through Lešje, Čret and Trebež on your way to Žetale. Alternatively, you can continue from Varvasele toward Ravne, where you should pass through Globočec and ascend to Kranjček (430m). From there, head to Kočice, descend to the village of Grabe and return to the starting point down the Dobrina-Žetale road, past the Vuk homestead.
