Descrizione della strada

The route begins in Stražišče pri Kranju. Cycle toward St. Jošt above Kranj and you will soon encounter a fairly challenging 5-kilometer ascent. Head past the villages Pševo and Javornik. In Javornik, you can turn right uphill to St. Jošt, but the route goes onward to Čepulje. There, turn left to Lavtarski vrh and Planica. After a short descent, prepare for another light ascent. Turn right at the top (signpost for Lavtarski Vrh). The road to the left leads to Crngrob, about a kilometer away. Immediately after the Lavtarski Vrh sign, turn left onto a forest road. Fifty meters later you'll reach a fork in the road. Take the left road up a short slope. The forest road from Lavtarski Vrh to Križna Gora is very well-maintained and suitable for all types of mountain cyclists. Turn back at Križna Gora and return to the crossroads where you previously turned right (signpost Lavtarski Vrh 1 km). From there, you can return the way you came or (if you have a good mountain bike) take the forest road toward Crngrob. Most of the road is well-maintained. There is one section where you'll have to cycle over some tree roots, but you shouldn't have much trouble. You'll exit the forest at the military shooting range in Crngrob. From there, follow the main road toward Kranj.
