From Žiri, head along the Sovra valley in the direction of Logatec, then turn into the alley of the Žirovnica river and proceed to Pek, where you should find a small sawmill. Take the old Italian military road to the rolling terrain of Gornji Vrsnik and cycle to Govejek. After a short incline, descend to the Srnjak farm. Continue to Ledinske Krnice, where you should turn right towards Korita. From there, begin a long ascent along the ridge, enjoying the impressive view. We recommend descending past Možina and Mrzli vrh to Jarčja dolina and Selo. If you wish to extend your journey, descend to Sovodnje. From there, you can return to Žiri via the main road past Trebija. If you combined this route with the previous one and need to get to Gorenja vas, the last option is probably the best.
