The Štore municipality covers the mainly hilly terrain by the Voglajna river on the eastern edge of the Celje basin. The town's development was once dictated by the development of the Štore ironworks, but now the economy is based on environmentally friendly activities. Only a few kilometers away lies the pleasant village of Svetina, well-known by pilgrims, mountaineers, cyclists and hikers. Several local customs are connected with the traditional "šentoščeva nedelja" holiday.
