Hostel Slovenj Gradec offers modern rooms, namely single rooms, double rooms and four-bed rooms and four apartments, which offer accommodation for three, four or eight people. The total number of beds is 59.
All rooms and apartments are equipped with their own bathrooms and sanitary facilities, one apartment is adapted for people with disabilities. A fully equipped kitchen is also available in the apartments.
Guests staying in the rooms also have a shared kitchen where everyone can prepare their own meal. Next to the kitchen there is also a laundry where guests can wash, dry and iron their clothes.
In the lobby of Hostel Slovenj Gradec, guests have their own internet corner. Next to the lobby is Hostel Caffe, where guests can socialise, get to know each other and sit on the sunny terrace, or spend pleasant evening hours by candlelight.
Besides accommodation capacity hostel Slovenj Gradec also offers the option of hiring two conference halls. In the basement, visitors also have available two classrooms.

Hostel Slovenj Gradec is located on the left bank of the river Suhodolnica, in the quiet part of Ozare below Rahtelov vrh. To the strict town centre it is 5 minutes' walk. Slovenj Gradec is the seat of the only urban municipality in the statistical Carinthia region and the legal, economic, banking, educational, information, health, supply and transport centre of the Mislinja valley. Slovenj Gradec has approximately 17,000 inhabitants. Slovenj Gradec offers many sporting activities, such as cycling, hiking, horse riding, parachuting, trekking, an open-air swimming pool, skiing and cross-country skiing. For lovers of cultural heritage, Slovenj Gradec also offers various sights that adorn our town.
| 1st point of interest/attraction | THE MEDIEVAL TOWN CENTRE The old town centre has preserved its medieval form, and the buildings show the appearance of the 19th century. In the town centre the most important cultural institutions are located. The old town centre, because it has preserved its original layout, is today an important urban planning monument. The town is at the meeting of routes between Uršlja gora and Pohorje and offers the traveller in its surroundings primordiality, many unspoilt paths and secrets that are worth discovering. |
| 2nd point of interest/attraction | THE CARINTHIAN GALLERY OF FINE ARTS The Carinthian Gallery of Fine Arts is located in the former town hall, which is among the most imposing buildings in the town. The inner courtyard surprises with pillared arcades on the ground floor. Special attention is devoted to contemporary artists who live here - the painters Bogdan Borčič and Franc Berhtold, the sculptor Naca Rojnik, the late sculptor Rade Nikolić and others. From the artist's beginnings it accompanied the rise of the painter Jože Tisnikar. |
| 3rd point of interest/attraction | THE CARINTHIAN REGIONAL MUSEUM It was founded in 1951 as the district museum of the National Liberation Struggle. In 1956 the museum settled on the 2nd floor of the former town hall, where it still is today. Officially it operated as such until 1991. In accordance with new needs, especially for the protection of natural and cultural heritage, from 1986 it began gradually to grow into a general regional museum. It covers the archaeological, ethnological and historical field as well as educational and restoration activity. |
| 4th point of interest/attraction | THE CHURCH OF ST ELIZABETH The oldest building in the town is the church of St Elizabeth. From the original building the Romanesque nave and two Romanesque windows have been preserved. In 1251 Berthold of Andechs consecrated the market church to St Elizabeth of Thuringia, his niece, who was canonised in 1235 as the patron saint of the poor and the destitute. |
| 5th point of interest/attraction | THE BIRTHPLACE OF THE COMPOSER HUGO WOLF The composer Hugo Wolf was born in 1860. Hugo Wolf, who achieved world fame in the musical capital of the Europe of that time - in Vienna, spent his childhood years in Slovenj Gradec. Little Hugo was considered a child prodigy, since he mastered the violin with virtuosity. When he became famous in the Viennese musical firmament, he was valued above all as an unsurpassed master of art songs. Hugo died young, insane from illness. |
| 6th point of interest/attraction | ROTENTURN MANOR The Rotenturn manor stands on the edge of the old town centre of Slovenj Gradec. The picturesque mansion with arcaded passages and a beautiful Baroque portal grew over the centuries through a series of rebuildings out of the original defensive tower, first mentioned in the 15th century, and out of a part of the town walls. Rotenturn is still closely bound into town life. Today the seat of the administration of the Municipality of Slovenj Gradec and the mayor's office are here. The atrium of the mansion has in recent years become the central Slovenj Gradec event space. |
| 7th point of interest/attraction | THE MEŠKO TRAIL Franc Ksaver Meško, parish priest and writer, was a caring shepherd to his people of Sele in the little village of Sele below Uršlja gora. If it was necessary, in the fierce summer heat he would set out on the long journey from St Roch to St Agnes to pray for rain for the thirsty fields and meadows. On his pilgrimages he usually walked by such paths that he could visit as many homesteads as possible. Meško and his parishioners, in times not so long ago, made with their steps the path which, in memory of him and of his people of Sele, we have named the Meško Trail. |

Camper stop Slovenj Gradec is located right beside the Slovenj Gradec Hostel and has 6 pitches laid out on a sandy surface. The stopping place has a waste water outlet and is equipped with 4 electricity connections and 2 connections for filling water. The hostel offers users of the Camper stop sanitary facilities, wi-fi and the possibility of free use of computers.
We make daily parking possible at a price of 5 eur per motorhome per day, whereby the parking price also includes all connections. In the event that you do not use the electricity and water connection, parking is free of charge.
In the immediate vicinity of the Camper stop are the town centre, a shopping centre, a petrol station and the tourist office.
The surroundings offer visitors numerous possibilities for hiking, cycling, horse riding, tennis, skiing, bathing at the summer lido, visiting well-maintained themed trails, seeing the cultural sights of the place and excellent cuisine.
