The tourist farm pri Lazarju Ljubljana is more than 300 years old and you will find it on a ridge below the hill at an altitude of about 400 m. You climb up to it from the village of Podgrad along a road through the forest.
After 800 m you catch sight of the homestead set in the shelter of the forest, which opens outwards with wonderful grassy slopes and pastures. The farm covers 12 ha and is known for organically produced delicacies and for breeding cattle, horses and small livestock.
Besides the large farm and residential building, you can also see the machinery shed, a wooden sheepfold and a characteristic Slovenian double hayrack, which offers visitors and tired walkers a pleasant shelter.

Besides various tours and walks around the farm, guests have the possibility of taking part in the work in in the stable or in the pasture. We can organise guided tours of the two Podgrad castles together with the millstone quarry, the valley of the river Besnica, the confluence of three rivers, the variety of the animal and and plant world along the Borovnica walking trail, a trip to Janče – the highest peak of the Ljubljana municipality, visits to other farms with interesting primary production or additional offers, such as fruit drying, old-style distilling, fruit processing, …
We also organise transport from the airport, the railway and or the bus station or from other, previously agreed points.

The mistress of the house takes the children around the farm to see the rabbits, the cows, the donkey Miškota, the sheep Rozi and other animals. She is also accompanied by the little dog Pika.
After the tour they set off to work, where they knead and and shape bread or make paper flowers, assemble bird houses and and whistles.
After the lively work there follows, for refreshment, a snack of home-produced foods (jam, bread, cheese, curd cheese, milk, tea and home-made apple juice).
The mistress of the house also takes the children to the playground, where they ride on the wooden train and and the tractor towards new adventures.
They also play shepherds' games and and draw with chalk.
The birthday celebration lasts three hours from the booked time.

For many years we have been receiving one-day excursions of school groups.
Through various programmes children get to know nature, healthy nutrition, ecology and in general life on a farm.

So that the children have enough energy, on arrival they first refresh themselves with z a home-prepared snack: plum jam, butter, honey, cheese and curd cheese, home-made bread, home-made apple juice, milk and mint tea.
We present everything with an emphasis on organic farming, and the programme can be adapted to your curricula or wishes. The pupils also receive a worksheet, which they can complete on the farm, at home or at school. At the end of the programme there is also obligatory relaxation on the wooden play equipment or and at the viewpoint.

The smallest possible number for a single visit to the farm is 40 pupils.
We also accept smaller groups, but the price of the visit is the same as for a group of 40 people.
In addition to beautiful surroundings and a varied culinary offer, we offer our guests, and private groups also the possibility of using a larger hall, suitable for holding various seminars, business meetings, lectures, ...
The hall is equipped with a projector, screen and sound system.
We also offer catering for seminar participants with smaller snacks or with a business lunch.
The spirit is bottled in various shapes of bottle, and these in wooden boxes or woven baskets.
The products are always to hand as a gift for guests, and they can also be bought, or we can arrange the production of larger quantities for business gifts.
