Hostel Tresor

Hostel Tresor in Ljubljana is the finest proof of how a grey and rigid dwelling of bankers can be turned into a lively and urban international environment. In the Tresor from now on only unforgettable memories will be stored, and the noblest currency will be the satisfaction and the experience of our guests. The Tresor breathes life into a Secession building from the beginning of the 20th century, a life completely different from the serious banking one, life with a capital letter, full of guests from all over the world who do not merely wish to see Ljubljana but also to experience it, and at the same time to get to know a colourful company of fellow residents.

The heart of the Tresor hostel is two rooms for socialising. The high atrium space with its sky ceiling will pulse above all in daylight, while for entertainment in the later evening hours the former bank vault in the basement of the building is more suitable.

Hostel Tresor has become an urban centre for all those interested in sport, culture, art and getting to know new cultures and people. The Tresor will not only be a refuge for people from all over the world; its main purpose is to offer its spaces also to local creative young people. Accordingly the Tresor will host artists and musicians, build a bridge between the local and foreign environment and provide a pleasant environment for everyone. It will remain mighty and important, and at the same time bring in its own rhythm and pulse, which the centre of Ljubljana has until now been missing.

At the Tresor you will not need keys; you can access the rooms with a card, a fob or a wristband. We have arranged 132 beds in 28 rooms, which are named after world currencies.

As you enter the room, the light by your bed will »greet« you and guide you to your bed. All rooms are air-conditioned and the temperature is electronically controlled.

Tresor is fully covered by a wi-fi signal, which is free of charge.

We have converted the multi-bed rooms (dorms) into several mini tresors and thus offered their guests as well – the privacy and uniqueness of the Tresor.
