Koča Suha Bohinj is suitable for larger groups or private parties and families who would like to spend their holiday in the peaceful neighbourhood of the Triglav National Park. The cabin is only 500 m from Lake Bohinj. In total the Suha cabin has 22 beds in various types of accommodation. Both double and multi-bed rooms are available.
The Suha cabin was in 2013 completely renovated, so guests have the use of a modern and fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, hob with a ceramic glass plate, fridge, extractor hood, microwave …) and a spacious dining room. In the kitchen there are all the necessary utensils, crockery and cutlery. Besides the modernly equipped kitchen there is also a wood stove and an open fireplace stove in the living room, which on colder days gives your stay a special charm. Similar but smaller »gašperčki« can also be found in the other rooms of the cabin.
In the Suha cabin there are three bathrooms (a bath, 2 showers and 3 WCs). Our guests also have a washing machine and tumble dryer available, as well as free use of WI-FI. Bedding and two towels are included in the price.
The Suha cabin also includes a large garden (800 m²), where guests have the chance to rest on loungers. Guests also have a barbecue and three outdoor wooden tables at their disposal.

BY CAR
From the direction of Ljubljana: you drive along the motorway towards Kranj. After about 40 km you come to the LESCE−BLED exit, at which you must leave the motorway. The route will take you through Bled. From Bled it is about 20 km along the main road to the first villages in Bohinj. In Bohinjska Bistrica, at the main junction, continue along the priority road in the direction of Lake Bohinj. After about 6 km you come to the village of Ribčev Laz. At the start of the village, about 500 m before Lake Bohinj, turn left off the main road at Hotel Kristal. Then keep right; the Suha cabin is the second building on your right (you drive through the entrance – a hedge on both sides, where there is a car park).
BY TRAIN
Ljubljana−Jesenice−Bohinjska Bistrica – you can reach us by train from the direction of Ljubljana via Jesenice, where you change to the line towards Bohinj. The railway station Bohinjska Bistrica is 6 km from Ribčev Laz. From Bohinjska Bistrica there is a regular bus line, from where buses run roughly every hour on weekdays and a little less often at weekends − in the direction of Ribčev Laz. Get off at the Ribčev Laz bus stop (and not Bohinjsko jezero). If you are arriving by train from abroad, from Austria, there is a regular bus line to Bohinj from the international railway station LESCE−BLED.
Nova Gorica–Most na Soči–Bohinjska Bistrica – if you are coming from the west via Italy and Nova Gorica, the train goes via Most na Soči, and you get off at the railway station Bohinjska Bistrica, from where there are regular bus connections to Ribčev Laz.
BY BUS
From Ljubljana: from Ljubljana to Bohinj there is a daily regular bus line Ljubljana−Kranj−Radovljica–Bled−Bohinjska Bistrica; departure from Ljubljana every hour during the day, except at weekends and on public holidays, when buses are less frequent. The bus stops directly in the little village of Ribčev Laz, which is also the name of the stop. It is one of the last stops on this line or one stop before the stop »Bohinj jezero«. At the bus stop you cross the road and head towards Hotel Kristal. The Suha cabin is in the immediate vicinity of Lake Bohinj (about 500 m) and the Vogel ski centre (about 5 km). In winter a free SKI BUS also runs to the ski centre.
In the nearby surroundings (about 500 m) you will find a shop, a post office, a tourist information centre, a cash machine, restaurants and bars.
