Description of path
The route begins in Ljubljana at Dolgi most, by the Ljubljana-Vič highway exit (If you arrive from the direction of the bypass and turn left at the traffic light, there is a public parking lot by the right side of Tržaška cesta). The route start sat this intersection, where you should go through the underpass beneath the railroad tracks and join the TMC for a few hundred meters. This is the famous 33-kilometer sandy trail of memories and camaraderie, created in the 1960's. It is lined with greens, trees, memorials, benches, wastebaskets, markings and other things. Turn left at the church of St. Simon and Jude and the graveyard. After about 1200 meters, cross the overpass above the freeway. The overpass offers a beautiful view of the Bokalce manor. Continue to Dobrova and turn left toward Horjul in the roundabout. The hill on the right is dominated by the convent of Mary's sisters and the pilgrimage church of St. Mary's ascension. Follow the asphalt road through the valley of the Horjulščica past Brezje, Podolnica and Zaklanec to Horjul. At the crossroads, turn left toward Velika Ligojna and Vrhnika. Ascend to Velika Ligojna, then descend to Vrhnika. Cycle along the level road past the barracks and new primary school to the center of Vrhnika. Besides Cankar's memorial house and monument, there are many other fascinating historical buildings and monuments in the town.
