Aužlak House, apartment - presentation

House Aužlak was one of the first houses in Luče ob Savinji, as its existence dates before the 1850s. The house was later expanded with an extension, and in 2022 we have completely renovated it, with the thought of preserving its surrounding traditional characteristics. We have even kept the old name of the house, which originates from a German term Aufschlag meaning ‘toll booth’. In the old days, the house was probably the entry point to the valley, where visitors and traders had to pay a tool to enter. Another story has it that the word Žlak means ˝a place˝, and conveniently the new owner’s initials are AU, which makes AUžlak ˝A.U.place˝.

The renovation of the house and the placement of the apartments coincide with their surroundings, as the apartments are named and thematically colored according to local attractions.
