From there, cycle along the main Ljubljana – Logatec road. Go straight through Logatec and turn left in Kalce toward Postojna. Cycle along the main road, following the markings toward Koper through Senožeče and Divača. The signpost for Kačiče and Rodik directs cyclists left onto a side road to Kozina. Go straight through the first intersection in Kozina, then turn left in the direction of Koper and follow the main road through Črni Kal. After exiting Črni Kal, turn left in the direction of Gradišče and Buzet. Follow the signposts for Gračišče to Kubed, where you should turn right. Turn left in front of the graveyard and go up a slope. Turn right at the top and follow the main road to Sv. Anton. There, the signposts for Marezige directs you to the left. Go straight through Marezige. At the double intersection in Babiči, the road first descends to the left. Behind the bus station, turn left and cycle up the slope. There is a beautiful view of Koper and the surrounding area just before Pomjan. Head straight through Pomjan to the intersection in Šmarje, where the signpost for Sv. Peter directs you to the left. Follow the signs for Nova vas and Sv. Peter. Cycle straight through Sv. Peter and descend into the valley of the Dragonja. Turn left toward Sečovlje in the town Dragonja. Just before the narrow bridge at the Sečovlje border crossing, turn right onto the cycling trail leading to Sečovlje. From there, follow the main road to Portorož. In Portorož, cycle past the Metropol hotel and the casino to cycling trail 931601 and onward through a lit 550-meter former railroad tunnel to Strunjan. Take the main road from Strunjan in the direction of Koper. Turn left off the main road through Izola, then cycle along the coast to Koper. Foollow the cycling path through Koper and in the direction of Bertoik. There, turn left onto cycling trail D-8 (Koper – Trieste) and follow the markings all the way to the Škofije border crossing. Pass through the tunnel on the main road toward Trieste. Just before the freeway, signposts for Slovenia and the center of Trieste point right, but you should go forward underneath the freeway and then left. Continue forward along the main road, through the next tunnel. Turn left immediately after the tunnel, pass the railroad station and cycle along the main road by the coast through Sesljan (Sistiana) past Devin (Duino) to Štivan (San Giovanni), where you should turn right toward Gorica (Gorizia). There, cycle along the international border to the Nova Gorica border crossing. There is a railroad station to the left of the border crossing. Take a train ( 2 hours) to Bled. Once you get there, cycle past the lake to Lesce.

Part of the route goes along the Parenzana, the former railroad tracks. You'll need to use the train to return from Nova Gorica to Bled, so check the train schedule.
